There is no gps data on this walk, as the battery ran out at the end of the walk which lost the data without saving it. Duh.
We arrived at The Old Dungeon Hotel mid morning. It was cold and overcast but dry. The route started down the road, then on to the farm track which took us to Stool End. The farmer I think has got a bit niffed off with lost walkers. Through the farm as the path goes, it can only be said that it is very well sign posted to the path.
Out the other side of the farm the path was good all the way to the footbridge over Oxendale Beck. The path up the side of Pike Of Blisco had been built by hand most the way, rather than foot. This was good as the the snow started to fall and it quite quickly covered the ground. At Red Tarn we turned left heading towards Great Knott. The accent was a little more gentle at this point. Without the gradiance there was water pools laying beneath the snow, which had now settled 2-3 inches.
It ain't Wainwright, but it's what I like.
